boruto-canceled

Warning: Boruto about to be cancelled in UK? Find out why now!

Boruto’s success has declined markedly over time, with sales of volumes steadily falling after the initial success. The two rebrandings of Two Blue Vortex haven’t helped, with sales of the new volumes even lagging behind Naruto Next Generations. If Boruto sales continue to decline, cancellation seems inevitable in the near future, barring a miraculous resurgence in popularity.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has now been running for a while and the story has certainly had its ups and downs. While there are some undeniably exciting moments in the manga that have excited fans, especially in the early days, the path it has taken since then has been somewhat tumultuous.

Boruto divides opinion greatly among fans, and while some think the series has a lot of potential, others have already given up on it due to poor storytelling and of course the way it has handled the legacy of Naruto, one of the greatest manga series to ever exist.

Over the years, Boruto has enjoyed relative success. The series began with great popularity, thanks to the volume version of the Naruto movie. Naturally, fans were incredibly interested in this segment of the story, largely due to the exciting plot surrounding the main characters in the Naruto series. Even the Boruto characters were certainly very impressive in the story at the time, however, this popularity hasn’t remained constant.

While sales of the Boruto manga were quite high in the early days, they declined considerably over time. For example, the first volumes of Boruto sold very well. The very first volume of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations accumulated a total of around 400,000 sales in around 7 weeks. From then on, volume sales finally began to slow down, making this the standard point at which to calculate the success of a particular manga volume.

Since then, the popularity of Boruto volumes has continued to decline. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations volume 2 only managed to sell around 328,000 copies over the same period, meaning the series was already showing signs of decline. As the story continues, this decline has also continued. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations volume 3 only sold 307,000 volumes over the same period, and of course volume 4 was even lower, selling around 262,000 copies.

Clearly, there’s been a remarkable drop in sales here, and that didn’t bode well for the series. Of course, at this stage sales were still pretty decent, though, which would mean they would continue, and they certainly did. Unfortunately, this trend continued and Boruto’s popularity dropped very sharply, reaching extremely low figures at the end of the first part of the series.

Over the years, Boruto has become increasingly popular. The manga began with phenomenal popularity, thanks to the volume version of the Naruto film. Naturally, fans were incredibly interested in this segment of the story, largely due to the exciting plot surrounding the main characters in the Naruto series.
